PERSONAL

Hello! So very pleased to meet you.  My name is Bonnie.  I received my Master's from the University of Maine School of Social Work.  I love staying involved with campus activities and volunteer time as permitted to any type of suicide prevention program, programs that reduce the stigma related to mental health challenges and Special Olympics.   I am a life-long learner and will vacation to visit historical sites.  I like to balance home and work and may be found lazing by the lake at camp or riding my Harley on day trips.  My life is enriched by my family who have always been my biggest supporters.  My personal philosophy is as follows….I believe each of us carry some responsibility toward social justice and leaving our world a little better each day.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Though it is important to meet the competencies of a course, I am very interested in what your unique perspective will bring to this experience.   I appreciate collaboration in whatever class I teach and appreciate critical thinking.  I promote fun in each course I teach and attribute your success to my involvement with you during our time together.  The only barrier to success is a question that is not asked.  And, this class is a partnership of learning.
